Boston won the Stanley Cup last night, as I predicted (Detroit > Boston > Everywhere else). Tim Thomas won the Conn Smythe as playoff MVP (which is awesome because he's only 6 years pro at the age of 37) and Mark Recchi went out on top by winning his third Cup in his final game. Sounds like a good story to me. Until I woke up and saw that Vancouver fans had gone ballistic and rioted. Cars burned, windows were shattered, people were beaten. It was just all around ugly. Except for this awesome little picture I found:  Nothing gets ya going like fire, blood, and police in riot gear, aye?

Truly a win for America. Also, a win for me. Totally bandwagoning with the Bruins now.  (Then again, in all fairness, I go to college in Boston, so I'm allowed to.)
