I must get this album! I love SOAD's music, and especially liked Mezmerize.

I love the new album. My favorites songs from it are Kill Rock 'n' Roll, Attack, Vicinity of Obscenity, and Soldiers Side. Its such a great album, even the packaging and artwork kick ass.

Really, I have to disagree. I must say this album isn't a patch on Mezmerize. Personally, I liked every song from Mezmerize, but with this album I find it hard to find any really memorable songs that I like. Yet, as with most new albums I have a high expectation of, after a few listens I'll probably like it more (same happened with LP - Meteora).
But, at the moment I am disappointed with it. Songs like Attack Im not keen on because the lyrics don't really fit the music at all and the rhythm is all over the place, with nothing memorable to it.
Songs I have liked on this album are Stealing Society, Lonely Day and Soldier Side. The thing I love about SOAD are the heavy but slow tempo bits, where they hit a chord and let it run for a bit before hitting another. Combine this with great vocals and they're amazing.
One last thing I have to say about this album is: with Mezmerize I saw a lot of complaints that a backup vocalist sung too much on the album. This didn't bother me as I liked all the songs, but I must agree that with this album he takes over from Serj too much.
That's my opinion.

I have to agree that Mezemerize is better then hypnotize. I like every single song of mezmerize, can't complain about any. But with hypnotize it isn't the same. Not that I hate their songs, but I just like them less  . About the guitarist singing in mezmerize, I really liked that actually. And haven't noticed him too much in hypnotize =P System of a down is still a great band though

Personally, I thought Hypnotize was a little better. Kill Rock 'n Roll, Soldier Side and Hypnotize were my favorites. Overall, this is how I rank their albums:
SOAD = Toxicity > Hypnotize > Mezmerize > Steal This Album
Though I thout STA was their worst, it was still really good.

Linkin Park > System Of A Down

Linkin Park is easily the least talented band. Ever. No arguement. Even Hawthorne Heights has more talent than Linkin Park, and HH themselves suck.
